Vickash Beni Kat, born in the Democratic Republic of Congo “Bukavu” was born to follow his passion.
It’s like his passion chose him rather than him going after it, he has been dancing since the age of 10. At the time when kids his age were trying to figure out life, Vickash was building on his skills.
Being raised In a typical Christian family and his father being a Pastor, choosing dancing as a career was not on the table at all. His dancing skills were only accepted and appreciated if they were for Gospel and no further.
But, this didn’t seem to dissuade him and he kept on polishing his skills one day at a time.
Vickash had made up his mind to polish his skills and also use them to raise fresh talents in his niche.
The 21-year-old dance instructor looks up to Odongkara Emmanuel for his grit and passion towards his art and admires the way he infused innovation to level up.
Vickash has coached almost 100 students at a go and his Paris workshop where he trained almost 400 students for a week saw huge enthusiasm and success and he plans to do more of these in the future.
Dance for him is the language of his soul and liberated him as nothing else does. Vickash believes in progress, not perfection and this is what has brought him to the pace where he is now.
He believes that dance is a form of pure emotions being expressed through actions and moves. And if one can really feel dance in their bones, they shouldn’t hold back.
Vickash has also been the proud participant of the bety first flash mob on World Aids Day.
Vickash knew that the journey to not give up on his passion will be difficult and uphill but he kept going on consistently and he hopes that people can find in their hearts to keep investing in their dreams and follow their passions and live a successful and happy life.
